Our Wines

Having grown up in Oregon wine culture, we started The Great Oregon Wine Company out of our own love of fine wine, and an innate appreciation for the culture and flavors of the region. With every bottle, we honor what it means to be authentically Oregonian and deliver on our belief that wines need not be pretentious to be delicious.

With that mindset, we set out to make great-quality wines without attitude. Wines meant to be enjoyed any day of the week for a price point you can enjoy, too.

The Great Oregon Wine Company®
Pinot Noir

The Great Oregon Wine Company was founded on the belief that wines need not be pretentious to be delicious. Like our 2014 vintage Willamette Valley AVA Pinot Noir. Made in small batches (only 2,400 six-pack cases were produced) from Pommard and Dijon clones barrel-aged for 16 months, it boasts a beautifully balanced nose of bing cherry, earthy aromas, and potpourri. Its fruit, earth, and oak flavors are perfectly balanced for a seamless transition from start to finish—an outstanding example of well-crafted Oregon Pinot Noir that offers both New World ripeness with Old World minerality and restraint.

The Great Oregon Wine Company®
Rose City Rosé

Pretty, light pink and purple hues on the visual.  The nose offers flavors of tart cherry, cranberry, and wild strawberry.  The ripe nature of the fruit is accented gently by a combination of clean earth and delicate herbs.  The palate is medium bodied with fruits of white peach, ripe cherry, and strawberry.  The texture is rich, yet the body is moderate and finishes dry with lingering flavors of spice, flowers, and mineral.  This wine shows a pleasant balance of forward fruit flavors with a quaffable style and texture.

The Great Oregon Wine Company®
Pinot Noir – Can

There is a delicate combination of tart red cherry and boysenberry fruit flavors on the nose that come across as reserved and balanced.  A combination of woodsy earth tones, mushroom, and oak spice add depth and complexity.  The wine offers a lovely balance on the palate with a forward fruit style and a seamless transition to the finish representing flavors of vanilla, cedar, and cinnamon.

The Great Oregon Wine Company®
Pinot Gris – Can

The nose is dominated by fruit flavors of bright green melon, ripe pear, and red apple.  Honey, stone, and almond notes accent the fresh fruit and add depth to the nose and palate.  There is a slight hint of tangerine skin that connects the nose and palate together with a pleasant citrus accent.  The nose shows signs of lees contact with richness of fresh cream, Parmesan rind, and brioche.  The palate is bright and lifted with Honey Dew Melon fruit, quince, and star fruit.  A touch of stone, lees, and bright acidity drive the refreshing finish.  This Pinot Gris is clean, fresh, bright and zippy.

The Great Oregon Wine Company®
Rosé – Can

Clean, high-toned fresh cherry and raspberry fruits drive the aromatic profile of this rosé.  Candied apple skin and bruised peaches add to the layered bouquet on the nose and the mulled spice element on the palate adds depth and character to the wild fruit tones.  The palate shows a touch of residual sugar on the front of the palate, but the overall balance and acidity results in a wine that finishes relatively clean and dry.
