2019 Yamhill Valley Vineyard Pinot Blanc
The Great Oregon Wine Company
Ripe red apple, bruised peach and apple cider. There is a slightly advanced secondary flavor profile of spice and oxidative notes, but in a very pleasant way. Honey, wax, white pepper, and plenty of ripe, dried apple and citrus rind. This wine is exotic and unique, but I like it quite a bit. It has flavor, depth and complexity that are fun and delicious.
Yamhill Valley Vineyard is located on a 150 acre estate in the rolling foothills of Oregon's Coast Range Mountains in the Willamette Valley. Soils consist primarily of Sedimentary clays with basalt intrusions with a complex array of Yamhill, Carlton, Chehalem, Panther Creek and Willakenzie soil types.
Handpicked. 50% stainless steel tank fermented. 50% barrel fermented in neutral French oak. Two different yeasts to build complexity.
