Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Our 2020 Rosé presents aromas of supple alpine strawberry and Cara Cara oranges mixed with notes of cantaloupe and verbena. On the palate this dry Rosé displays red berries, lemon and melon with hints of white tea and elderflower, followed by a crisp and vibrant finish.
Vineyard Notes
Multiple high-quality sites throughout Oregon contribute to a well-balanced palate and complex nose. We use multiple sites to create the best representation of Oregon possible. By using vineyard sites of different aspects, we are able to build a wine with structure and beauty.
Production Notes
2020 began with a cool, wet spring. Budbreak was tracking in a normal pattern, while rain during bloom caused yields to be lower than normal - focusing concentration of berry and flavor development. A cooler than normal July and August helped the fruit ripen slowly and evenly, with a heat bump in the first week of September to help finish out the year
Winemaker Notes
Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Riesling grapes were pressed and fermented separately at low temperatures to ensure freshness and aromatics. Fermentation was halted to retain floral notes and character. Lees contact provides structure and mouthfeel, helping lift the aromatics and create a well balanced Rosé.
